Judit is an illustrator and pattern designer based in Budapest who creates vibrant, joyful visuals for a wide range of projects from packaging and greeting cards to advertising campaigns and surface design. Her work is full of charm, color, and playful details, and she's a pro at finding visual solutions that bring a project’s ideas to life. Katherine Castano Creates Pure Magic!

We'd like to give a warm welcome to the newest member of our JNA artist family: Katherine Castano! We're thrilled to share her art with you in today's newsletter. Katherine's work is heavily influenced by nature, animals, travel, fairytales, whimsy, and femininity. She loves to incorporate storytelling and tend to the smallest of details. Katherine gives her work an organic hand-drawn feeling by using mixed media such as wet acrylic, watercolor, gauche, pencil, and pen. You're going to LOVE her work, so let's get right to it!

A Bounty of Beautiful Designs from Heather Powers

Heather Powers is an illustrator of nature and nostalgia. She loves drawing things that nurture the soul, relish the simple life, and celebrate the everyday. Heather remembers gleefully crafting her first book as a second grade author-illustrator, an autobiography for a school contest.

Those first illustrations featured her family car packed for vacation, her decorated bedroom, and a cat she dearly wished for. These illustrations not only started her artistic journey, but won her an award and the opportunity to meet the real Dr. Seuss!"My seven-year-old self wasn't particularly impressed with meeting Theodor Seuss Geisel," Heather recalls. "I thought I was going to meet a real talking cat that day."
