Stephanie Bauer: a self-described serial nincompoop, bad speller, and good painter. Using various mediums, including gouache, watercolor, oil paint, ink, hand-painted papers, brushes, and even her own fingernails, she creates lush and luminous artworks. Her love for paint and process guides her, resulting in happy accidents that she embraces with joy.

Stephanie's parents gave her an art box when she was six. She hasn't stopped painting since! She trained in classical oil painting, studied chemistry and interior design, and started her own faux finishing business. The elephants at the Zoo inspired her to paint art for children, which quickly grew into a worldwide production of charming children's books, puzzles, games, cards, apparel, wrapping paper, fabric, and wall decor. Stephanie has Pinterest boards about color trends and flower photography, which she uses for daily painting.

Stephanie starts paintings by finding humor in her subjects. She exaggerates flaws and celebrates their endearing quirks. Her motifs become cute nincompoops, celebrating uniqueness. Stephanie aims to inspire others to embrace their inner nincompoop and see beauty in imperfections.
