Allyson Wilson, is an illustrator and designer, specializing in greeting card design and children’s books. She describes her style as colorful, happy, chalk-full of fun details, with the goal of making others smile and feel connected. She loves to express herself through art, and finds that different mediums and subject matters evoke different sides of her creativity!
She grew up in an art-centric household; where creativity became a solid part of her foundation. She graduated college with a dual degree in Graphic Design and Business and worked as a graphic designer for eleven years, until 2020 thrust her onto a different path. Needing to ground herself during a hard time, she turned back to her roots, and started drawing again. Her digital art hobby turned into a passion, which has led her to work on projects for Trader Joes, Barnes and Noble, Highlights, Scholastic, Fun Folks, Designer Greetings, Lasting Smiles, the Luna Muna book series, and more. (The Luna Muna book even went to space!)
She finds that meeting other creatives is such an important part of her mental health; helping her to feel refreshed, inspired, and validated. Recently, she found a new passion for painting wall murals and planning the RESTART Retreat with fellow creative friends.
She lives in Pennsylvania, and when she’s not creating, you can find her spending time with her husband and two, super awesome, kids; reading, drinking coffee; gardening; organizing things; and dreaming of being at the ocean.
