Jennifer Nelson Artists Inc. Coming To San Francisco for Blue Print

JNA exhibits in California for the first time this October

Boston, MA. August 20, 2018:  This is a first. This October, Jennifer Nelson Artists will travel to San Francisco to exhibit for the first time at the west coast Blue Print show. JNA has attended the Blue Print shows in New York City but this will be the first time Jennifer is heading out west. Blue Print takes place on October 2nd through the 4th at Gallery 308 in San Francisco’s Fort Mason Center.

“I’m thrilled to be part of this event in California,” said Jennifer Nelson. “We have thoroughly enjoyed the Blue Print shows in New York City. Now I’m truly looking forward to a great experience in San Francisco.” This is the first time for Blue Print to hold a trade show in the city by the bay. “We’re excited to exhibit at their first one in California. It will be the first time for both of us!”

Jennifer Nelson Artists currently represents ten enormously talented illustrators: Anisa Makhoul, Janna Krupinski, Jill Howarth, Jennifer Orkin Lewis, Miriam Bos, Bee Brown, Rae Ritchie, Rachel Grant, Kelly Angelovic, and Lauren Lowen. “This may be the last time we show the work of just ten artists,” said Jennifer. “The agency is growing quickly and will soon be adding two or three more artists to our roster.”

The best thing about attending the San Francisco event will be “getting to meet our West Coast clients. There are so many people we have done business with but have never met, just because of geography. This will be a wonderful opportunity to change that.”

The 3,000 mile trip from the Boston area to San Francisco will be a big undertaking. “When we have a booth at a show in New York City, we can transport a lot of artwork and exhibit materials by car. This time we’ll be flying, so we’ll have to ship all that stuff ahead. There are a lot of logistics to work out, but I know it will be worth it.”

The Blue Print show promises to be a whirlwind of activity so Jennifer encourages potential licensees to book an appointment. “I don’t want to travel all that way and miss seeing everyone. Let’s make plans so we have a chance to chat at the show.” Trade shows like Blue Print are the high point of the year for JNA. “We’re really looking forward to meeting you!”

The illustrators from Jennifer Nelson Artists create charming and beautiful images which are sold or licensed to manufacturers for surface design and home decor. The artists are also commissioned to illustrate books and create editorial artwork. Jennifer’s team specializes in a hand-drawn style that’s quirky yet feminine, and brings beauty to all sorts of goods. Jennifer’s philosophy is “Everything is better when you add art.”

Since opening for business in 2015, Jennifer Nelson Artists has established an ever-growing client list which includes Anthropologie, Vogue Italy, Flow Magazine, Kate Spade, Chronicle Books, the LA Times, Garnet Hill, Loloi Rugs and the Boston Globe. Product categories now include quilt fabric, hand-printed mural installations, books, pillows, editorial assignments, journals, calendars, bedding, and upholstery fabric. Both JNA’s artist roster and their share of the art business have doubled in less than four years, with new clients and product types being added regularly.

Jennifer Nelson Artists, Inc. is a Boston-based illustration agency representing ten talented artists whose work is available for licensing and buyouts as well as commissions. JNA can be reached at (781) 643-2002 or by email. Fresh work appears regularly on Instagram.
