Haley Wood, Artist Agent

I began working at Jennifer Nelson Artists in 2020 and have fallen completely head-over-heels for surface design and art licensing! I love creating custom galleries for clients, designing for our road shows and animating for our Advice for Artists classes, and connecting with everybody in our weekly newsletters and social media. One of my favorite parts of my job is seeing fresh new artwork and products from our artists in my inbox every day!

My proudest project at JNA would have to be putting together the car wrap for Jennifer’s beloved 1994 Volvo “Jolene,” for the Tippity-Top-Bestest-Art-Road-Show-Ever! It is such fun when we all load into the car and go on a trip.

I became interested in surface design while studying textiles at Massachusetts College of Art & Design. Outside of JNA, you will find me making hand-tufted rugs, playing rock n’ roll music with my friends, and watching early 1970’s folk-horror films :-)

Shannon McNab, Artist Agent

I have been in the surface design industry since 2016. In 2020, I founded Sketch Design Repeat, an online education platform to teach artists how to build organized, sustainable, and profitable businesses. The SDR blog and Instagram feed has a recurring monthly feature highlighting surface designers, both new and veterans, and we have featured over 40 artists so far. In addition to that, I also host the only yearly survey of working surface designers so the community has a better understanding of what’s “normal” in terms of income, pricing, etc.

I’m also a surface designer myself and have licensed my art and worked with brands like Party City, Cloud9 Fabrics, Workman Publishing, Entryways and Pyrex. I love bold color combos, hand lettering with personality, and lush florals. I am happiest when I’m supporting artists and I’m thrilled to be doing that in a new way as an agent, joining JNA all the way from Dublin, Ireland.

Jennifer Nelson, Artist Agent

I love art and I love people! Since I was 12 years old I've wanted to work in and around art. First as a graphic designer and now as an agent for the world’s bestest illustrators, I love what I do. What drives me is the creative energy of solving problems. The anticipation of upcoming projects keeps me charged.

I find pure joy in nurturing artists and helping them achieve their goals. I find tremendous satisfaction in the knowledge that the work my artists do helps our clients’ businesses thrive.

After JNA, my biggest passion is hosting artists at my home in Vermont, The Smiley Manse. We are fortunate to have a large barn studio and plenty of plein-air options. Each year we host multi-day retreats, workshops, and drawing events. If you are an artist seeking new opportunities, a creative recharge, and new friendships, come join us!

Sebastian Taylor, Artist Agent

My first love in this world is art in all its forms and I’ve always known I’ve wanted to work around creative spirits. My cup feels full when I’m surrounded by artists and their work, passion for a project, or just another creative soul finding their way in this world. After several years of hopping between jobs, from teaching to temping to banking, finding a position with JNA felt like the opportunity I had been searching for to combine the things I'm passionate about in a warm, welcoming space. As soon as I met Jennifer, I felt a connection between energies and I’m excited to be working with JNA’s other agents, artists, and clients.

My own professional creative pursuits are rooted in theatre and writing. I completed my BFA in Dramatic Writing & History at New York University in 2018 and I am currently working on my Masters in Creative Writing at New England College. I'm delighted that part of my contribution to JNA will involve writing.

Tara Anderson, Bookkeeper

With over 20 years of experience in the field, I bring a personalized touch to my financial services business, Tara Anderson Bookkeeping. In 2021, I took the leap to establish my own bookkeeping business.

Beyond the spreadsheets and ledgers, I like to indulge my creative side, often pretending to be an artist in my own right. While my true passion lies in the meticulous world of numbers, I find joy in exploring the diverse and imaginative realm of art. I love seeing the work created by JNA’s amazing artists.

Rooted in New Hampshire, I share my life with my husband and two cats, Winter and Rosie. I love listening to music and spending time with my family.

Sometimes we take our art on the road! This is a photo of our Art Car, Jolene, at Lake Michigan.
